KAYKAY’S STYLE: I would describe it as unpredictable. It truly depends on my mood. I love mixing vintage pieces with outfits. My style is highly influenced by previous decade’s trends. I say this, but style is very difficult to describe. It’s like your persona, which cannot be explained in a few sentences. 

INSPIRATION: My style is heavily linked to my passion for music. Some days I’ll be listening to some indie music, and I’ll dress like I just fell out of the 1970’s. Other days I’ll listen to a lot of classic rock, and I’ll wear leather and spikes. 

ONE TREND YOU’D LIKE TO SEE DISAPPEAR: I would absolutely love to see feathered anything disappear. Nothing kills me more than a feathered extension! 

STYLE CRUSH:  My style crush would have to be Andy Warhol’s superstar, Edie Sedgwick. I’ve always been a fan of her fur coats, leotards, tights, and big chandelier earrings.  Her style was so effortless yet still so glamourous. 

TATTOOS AND PIERCINGS:  I actually have 4 white tattoos! They are very subtle, but I love them. If the tattoo means something to you, then I approve. On the other hand, I have never really been one for piercings. 

IMPACT: [Fashion] is a liberating element in society. It is a form of self-expression. What you wear is a powerful communicator.  It’s a way to show the world your personality and ideas without saying a word. 

SPRING AWAKENING: [During spring] I enjoy wearing maxi skirts or shorts with bandos or crop tops! I also wear a lot of flowered items to be in the spirit of the season. I have been pairing a flowered crown with a lot of outfits this spring. Trying to channel my inner hippie!
